Every asana has a purpose to it, and aims to strengthen and/or open specific parts of the body. Proper alignment in your practice not only allows you to safely move in and out of - as well as endure long holds within - your poses, but also allows you to get the greatest intended benefit of each one.
In this workshop Troy will work with students on finding proper positioning and alignment for a number of standing asanas (poses) including Crescent Lunge, Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Warrior 3, Side Angle, and Triangle. Time permitting, we will also get into variations of these poses: Humble Warrior, Reverse Warrior, Reverse Triangle, Half Binds & Binds.
While all skill levels are welcome, we encourage all participants to have some yoga experience coming into this workshop. To provide the greatest guidance and opportunity for you to learn, this workshop will include hands-on cues and adjustments from the instructor.
